In Sarenga, Sankrail, Howrah, a disturbing incident unfolded as a young man, Palash Mandal, is accused of setting fire to a house in anger after his marriage proposal was rejected by the housewife. The alleged motive behind the arson is the woman's refusal to accept the proposal and her subsequent complaint to the police.
The incident occurred last night, and locals rushed to extinguish the fire upon noticing it late at night, saving the housewife and her child who were fortunately not at home during the incident. Palash Mandal, the accused, is currently on the run, prompting an investigation by the Manikpur police station into the arson case.
